Debbie,

First, nice name (my mother's).

The only real potential mistake is just not being consistent. The
information on the video was a suggestion of how I maintain consistency.
There are advantages to using the suggestions on the video, but don't
consider what you've done as a mistake. You've already overcome the first
major hurdle of researchers by at least documenting your findings.
"Genealogy without Documentation is Mythology."

I'm not aware of any super easy way to update your sources to have either a
locality or a surname preceding the source name's title. (Remember that the
source name is different than the source title.)

Thanks,

Subject: [LegacyUG] please - advise to correct sources?

Hello Everyone,

Advise gratefully needed.

Could anyone advise me in the best way to correct my U.S. Federal
Census Sources in the Legacy Source section?

I have learned quite a bit now that I have watched the training
videos. I now need to correct/change all my U.S. Federal Census
sources. I have been using "1850 U.S. Federal Census" as the Source
name instead of "Wayne Co., IL - 1850 U.S. Federal Census".

So as you can guess I have a lot of work ahead of me. I could not
find an easy way (edit button, or a handy little arrow on the source
List name window) to correct my mistake. It looks like I will need to
correct my sources person by person, each individual source at a time.
