I can think of two ways to handle it... and I debated between the two. The
first is to put it in and then in the event note field make a notation
"probable location of event". The second is to leave it blank, but put data
in the event note, e.g. for a birth, "probably born Ann Arbor, Washtenaw
Co., Michigan". I opted for the second, but sometimes I question whether I
made the right decision.
My reasoning was, if it was probable that an event took place in a given
location, then that location would show up elsewhere for someone else in the
family and would lead me to the person anyway.

Subject: [LegacyUG] possible location
Can someone tell me how they enter a location when one is not sure that the
place is correct. I have several places where I have put "probably" after
the location, but it doesn't work with the way Legacy uses the location
field. I have used brackets on occasion, but that requires an explanation. I
hate to leave it blank when I am relatively sure that it's correct. Thanks
for any advice.
