Legacy does not have a custom report feature although there are some that are very flexible and cater to many needs. However there is usually a way of accomplishing what's needed even though it may take two or more steps -- and that's without having to using Access. If in your example "Elmira" is a location then Legacy has a feature to "tag" every individual that uses (contains) that location. Depending on the report format required these records may then be directly printed based on that tag selection or may need to be copied to a temporary file for reporting purposes. BTW, I know many genealogists that have switched from FTM to Legacy and to my knowledge none of them have any intention of going back. Try Legacy for awhile and see how you like it, it doesn't have to cost you anything.
