Ed,
I am not quite sure what you have in mind when you ask for the descendants
to show grandparents of connected spouses but let me make a suggestion that
I think you are trying to describe.
Legacy needs to allow tagging parents of connected spouses in both the
"Descendants..." and "Ancestors..." selections like it is in the option for
tagging "Family...".
If such an option were available, then complete group sheets, including the
grandparents, would be produced by the tagged selection.
As it is now, if you extract the tagged descendants, you get the blood line
and their spouses but you will not get the parents of the spouses. This
would be simple to fix by including the parents of everyone in the current
method of selection. That way, each group sheet would be complete,
including the group sheet for the person at the top of the descendant
report. Likewise, an extract of those tagged would be complete and more
appropriate to send to someone who wants data on descendants.
The same situation exists in the ancestor selection. The parents of anyone
on the blood line are tagged without issue. But the parents of other
spouses are not tagged and therefore group sheets for the extracted
ancestors do not show the grandparents.
Hope this is added soon which will make the logic to extract all data for
the group sheets work as one would expect.
