Jacob, The Canadian census images have been available since July 2005. Ancestry.ca announced an index of names in the 1911 census this week. My attempt to try the free subscription through the Legacy links showed only USA data.
My attempt to sign up for the $99 Canadian subscription following a "free" 14 day trial required a credit card number and then it didn't work. No humans to answer phones until Monday 7 am to 4 pm Mountain Standard Time. I don't know where the Ancestry.ca office is located or if they just have an answering service in Utah. Perhaps there is some other number since they have expanded to an option for a World Subscription. It has been hard to view Canadian Census images for about the last two weeks with the worst service January 13. I was working on a volunteer index for some pages in my research areas that day. If anyone else wants to discuss 1911 Canadian census experiences, please write to me off list. If anyone wants to subscribe, I'd suggest waiting until the 14 day trials are up for new customers who read the announcement January 20 about the Canadian census and Ontario BMD index. -- Elizabeth ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jacob > As for the 1911 Canadian Census, you can search online at > http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/1911/index-e.html Legacy User Group guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
