I have Legacy installed on both but would like to have just one database to work from instead of my laptop always being outdated. My desktop is my primary PC. I am going to give it a try. Barbara

Set the file paths in both copies of Legacy to point to the external drive. It would be helpful to have Legacy installed on the drive itself if you want to use it with someone else's computer, for example in a library.
