I do have a 56kps hi speed dial-up modem, but as you point out it doesn't make 
any difference as to the modem - it all has to do with the PHONE LINE service 
you have.

Unless I'm the only one left in cyberspace boonies with a slow dial-up 
connection I still put forth my original point that Legacy updates need to have 
a better delivery option for those who don't have access to hi speed 
connections -- either by reason of it just not being available OR financially 
prohibitive.

I forgot to mention that you might want to buy a better modem. Be 
sure to get a name brand. When I changed my board to an Intel it 
increased my speed from 40 to 50 kbps. Even though the board is 
rated for 56 it depends on the connection and phone line and 
service as to what you will actually get.
