I regularly copy my data from a laptop to a desktop and vice versa, but just copy the files in the \Legacy\Data\ and \Legacy\Pictures\ directories (I don't have sounds). Using Backup and Restore sounds a bit complicated. Actually I don't copy all the files, just new and changed ones, using an ancient DOS utility called BAC.COM. -- Steve Hayes E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.geocities.com/hayesstw/stevesig.htm Phone: 083-342-3563 or 012-333-6727 Enter the drawing for a FREE Legacy Cruise to Alaska or a FREE research trip to Salt Lake's Family History Library.
