Maybe I'm misunderstanding what it is you want, but . . .  could you not use
the Publishing Center to do your descendent report, and insert a special
text entry, and/or a place holder in the report using the features of the
Publishing center. You could still use this in combination with the events ,
and or notes fields in the Family view of the database if you wanted to.

I said mark the Master Events as private. Not each individual Event. In MS
Access this would take about 2 nanoseconds.

I personally like the idea of a Biography event.
