My problem is this: I don't have the text listed in my
details, but under the Master Source Definition, on
the tab which says, "Text of Source (Optional)". I
have not checked "Include on Reports", but it's not a
report I'm doing, so I don't know if that makes a
difference. At any rate, the entire text of the source
is listed on my Rootsweb GEDCOM, when all I want is to
show where I received the information.
The same thing happened when I listed a letter to my
mother as a source. I have the text of the letter in
my "Text of Source" of the Master Source Definition,
but not in the event details. Nothing else is checked,
but the whole text of the letter showed up on my
GEDCOM. I panicked, because in the letter were
identifying details on my great aunt, who wrote the
letter. I ended up severely editing the letter in my
Master Source, when I really wanted to keep it for my
own reference.
Is this a bug, perhaps? Or am I missing something?
I have the latest update of Version 6, standard. I
really DON'T want to publish other people's text, just
provide a reference to those who want to check
themselves.
