I didn't see it as anything but humorous.

He wrote something like "aren't there three Ds in
dumbdd . . ."

Say it out loud: "Dumb Dee Dee" as in the chorus or
refrain in an old song, like maybe '40s or '50s.

Anyway, that's what I read into it.

I agree about sticking with the Group.  In fact, it
took me a while to find out where to enter the Death
Cause -- don't remember if I had to ask the list . . .
