What happens to information between [[ ]] privacy brackets if Legacy files are transferred, say to create a web site with TNG? Results would be different with Legacy default or custom settings.
Different genealogy programs use different codes for private details and excess repeats. Just asked someone who "lost" notes in a direct transfer to a second genealogy program if the ~ code used by his old genealogy program was a factor. He entered hundreds of new names in the new program before discovering the loss of important details and then merged a GEDCOM copy of the original file creating some duplicate individuals. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cathy" > Another option to have the transcription available to you easily within > the program but not included in the reports is to use the privacy brackets > [[ ]] Enter the drawing for a FREE Legacy Cruise to Alaska or a FREE research trip to Salt Lake's Family History Library.
