I don't use Legacy for that purpose, because Legacy doesn't seem to have a 
way of doing that, and it's easy enough to do in other programs. 

I use a text database program called askSam, where I record the addresses of 
people who write to me about family history. If they are related, I enter 
their RIN in a field i have for that purpose, and a couple of "Family" fields 
to record the families they are interested in, and a note of when they 
contacted me, and a brief description of their interests. 

Then if I find information on a particular family, it's a simple matter to 
search for those interested in that family. 

It works quite well for me, and it's not a feature I'd like to see added to 
Legacy (there are other things I'd rather see added first).
