Thank you, Geoff!

After I sent it to you, a number of people asked for it personally. A
few followed up with additional questions pertaining how I file
obituaries and photos. Here was my reply -

I haven't organized obituaries, prayer cards or obituaries yet.

For obituaries, I will keep them all together in 1 file folder and
number them as OBIT 001, OBIT 002, etc. I'm going to mount them
individually on archival safe paper using photo corners. If they are so
small that it's better to put multiple ones on the same sheet of paper,
then I'll number the folder as OBIT 001 but each obituary will lettered
'A', 'B', etc. Therefore, the FILE ID will be OBIT 001A, OBIT 001B.

Prayer (memorial) cards from funeral homes will be handled the same way.
I think that I will label them as MEM 001, MEM 002, etc. I'm going to
mount them too.

I currently have photos named for the people in them but group pictures
can't be handled that way. I only have pictures electronically so I
won't have to file them in my file box. I plan to use NY PHOTO 001 for
pictures taken in New York, ENG PHOTO 001 for pictures from England,
etc.

Mary
