That's what it looks like to me. You'll have to ask the developers if
this is intentional or a bug.

If someone can
show me how to do marriages I think I could adapt it for baptisms and deaths
also.

This is not a simple update query. If you take a hard look at how Legacy
stores dates (ddmmyyyy, mmyyyy, yyyy, bef, aft, bet, Q, cal, etc.)
you'll quickly see that to handle all possible formats will require some
programming.
