Dear Eric, Your replies from Grant (on the server team) and Emilie (OSMF Board member) are from people who would normally deal with these issues. ;-)
As far as I know Map Maker does not use OSM data, but no consumer of OSM data is obliged to tell OSM that they are using OSM data. They are only obliged to meet their obligations to the OSM license.
