I'm more interested in CLFS at the moment because I have a Turion 64 to
play with. Are there plans to merge the two into one project?
This will not happen due to the nature of the CLFS project, we are going
to have 3 different type of books, Right now our focus is on the CLFS
1.x series, which is a cross-compiled build of a LFS type of system,
after the initial release, it will be on package update mode only, with
release coming every 2 months, unless a major change is required like,
Bintuils, GCC ,GLIBC, or the Kernel, then this version will take
precedence in getting updated . The 2.x series, will be a sysroot style
build. The 3.x series is going to be a totally embedded project using
UCLIBC and Busybox.
We also have people wanting to add more architectures to our builds, we
will take patches from the XML from anyone who's willing to provide them.
CLFS 1.x is being managed by Jeremy
CLFS 2.x is being managed by Joe - in SVN currently
CLFS 3.x is being managed by myself - still in the design process
