Was perl compiled with the options used in LFS or CLFS?

According to
http://cross-lfs.org/view/svn/x86_64-64/final-system/perl.html
-Duseshrplib tells Perl to build a shared libperl.

For me the difference is Apache's mod_perl compiles against
/usr/lib/perl5/5.12.0/x86_64-linux/CORE/libperl.so but the build fails
if it tries to use /usr/lib/perl5/5.12.0/x86_64-linux/CORE/libperl.a
