It looks OK to me. I'd reformat the ./configure lines a little to make it more 'regular'. I think it is also reasonable to go ahead and update fstab and use devtmpfs. It does require a minor bootscript change, so if you want me to do it, I can do that. We do need a comment in 8.3 (Building the kernel).
