Guys, lets be careful with our wording. These are complex things and it's easy to misunderstand the technical aspects of what is going on and we don't want to say anything that someone might misread and take offense.
There are a lot of things going on in the Linux world right now. Some want to eliminate /usr -- or move /{bin,sbin,lib} into /usr. Distros are rewriting the initialization to make it more complex (or simpler depending on your point of view). Discussion of these things is good and having to make multiple explanations of concepts as a part of that discussion is part of the territory. Personally, I want to take our time in making any decisions. Some of us want to push the envelope and make bleeding edge changes. Others (like me) want a go slow approach. Lets keep this in mind when we state our opinions and arguments. -- Bruce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
