Oh, also, increasing the GOP size to 10*frame rate may help. You can also try increasing the diamond size and there are some other flags... +aic+cbp+mv0+mv4. And the +trell flag has migrated to using the -trellis <0,1,2> option. I suspect any value >0 will enable it for mpeg4.
