Good evening again, Dave!

Just before 'hitting the rack' (Navy jargon), going to bed in
normal American parlance, I do want to correct one pertinent item
written here in your original, to wit:

Dave Laird wrote to everyone...

> As in years gone by, I will be posting the Story of Christmas as
> transcribed in the Revised Standard Version of the Holy Bible while Frank
> Reichert will likewise post it from the King James Version.

I have to take a degree of variance and skepticism to the
authenticity of that statement. Let's go back and check out the
archives over the last twelve years, shall we? You will then
discover that it has always been *ME* who has posted the
Christmas Story from Luke 2, from the Revised Standard Version
(RSV) of the Bible. I intend to do exactly the same again THIS
YEAR, as I have always done for the last 12 years running.

In fact, I don't even have to retype it. I have the same text
file that I have always used, and it will be promptly posted, as
usual, on Christmas Eve again this year. "The Birth" file, as it
is called, is also automated to transmit the same file each
calendar year at the same time concurrently on Liberty Northwest,
Phoenix, and probably even used_kharma.chat (but I will have to
go back and check the last address on whether or not that is
included).

Since this is both of our long-running traditions around here,
and to set the record straight, I have NEVER posted this
historical rendering of Christmas from the King James Version,
ever.

Now, so we don't have two identical accounts of the same story,
you might wish to revisit how you choose to post it this
Christmas Eve.

Kindest regards,
Frank
