I was thinking much the same thing. If there was such a disquiet about things, then the evidence would be pretty clear, such as big defections from Republican to the Libertarian party. I have not heard of any. Perhaps some might claim that it is the job of people to inspire others by overclaiming what is possible. As a realist, I do not favour such an approach.
