I spoke to the Religious Artifacts and Authenticity Authority, The Loopy
Grand Poohbah of the Yukapatooie Band of Indians to see if your suggestion
might work, and the response was more or less what I expected it would be.

"The only proof of authenticity for anyone claiming to be a member of the
Yukapatooie Band of Indians is the holographic corporate logo, which is
stamped on the butt cheeks of all registered tribal members at birth. Many
hundreds have tried to impersonate or forge this unique logo, but all have
fallen short of the glory of our marvelous Native American technology."

"It has been rumored by some that the idea behind Microsoft Corporation's
holographic logo present on all their software packaging was actually
stolen from the Yukapatooie Band of Indians and their ancient mystic rite
of the Official Yukapatooie logo; some go even further and suggest that
various other Yukapatooie artifacts, secret society ordinances and symbols
have been ripped off, compromised or stolen outright by the Masons, the
Central Intelligence Agency-- even the Mormon Church."

"However, the answer to your question regarding faking your way into the
tribe by using shoe polish won't cut it. The Yukapatooie logo is inviolate
and sacred."
