Bug ID: 164618
Summary: The "show table frame" (in italian "Contorni tabella")
has disappeared in Writer 25.2
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.0.1 rc
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
The table editor in Writer has always had the "Contorni tabella" (I am not sure
how this is translated in English) command, which allowed to display a grey
frame outlining the cells even if you did not set visible borders for the
table. In 25.2 this option is not shown anymore in the table toolbar, and if
you look for it in the full list of available icons, you cannot find it.
Editing tables that you do not want to have visible borders without this option
is very inconvenient.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a new writer doc and insert a table into it
2.set the table to be without visible borders
3.Now the table is fully invisible, and you do not have the option to show the
table frame that was available until now since the icon to do this in the table
toolbar is not there anymore, and it is not available if you want to
personalize the toolbar
Actual Results:
it is impossible to see the table frame when it does not have a visible border,
making it difficult to spot and edit tables
Expected Results:
As in all previous versions, the table frame should be displayed - if the
option is active - with grey subtle borders
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
