--- Comment #4 from ady <[email protected]> --- If you were to treat "Default" as if it was always "Bottom" (e.g. saving it as "Bottom" instead of saving it as "Default"), then you would be imposing "Bottom" to every other spreadsheet tool for that (and every saved) file. When you keep "Default" as "Default" (which is the correct thing to do), then that "Default" will be kept when opening the file with other tools. "Default" is not the same as "Bottom", in a similar way as "latest" (version) is not the same as "26.2". If the user wants to impose "Bottom" on specific cells of a specific file, then that specific user should set that alignment for the relevant cells (whether by using the adequate icon or by the Format Cells Alignment tab). The "Bottom" icon is displayed as on / enabled / pressed when the cell is actually set as "Bottom" (whichever method was used in order to achieve it). "Default" is not the same as "Bottom", so the icon should not be shown as on / enabled / pressed.
