--- Comment #42 from Heiko Tietze <heiko.tie...@documentfoundation.org> --- (In reply to Arlene from comment #40) > IDEA: Put 3-5 fonts that are familiar to most users at the top... Rather the recently used. > IDEA: Organize the same font family into one row. Good idea. Turns the simple list into a tree, however, but hides away all the annoying Noto fonts ;-). OTOH, it's always a good idea to keep the UI simple- and the tree with all fonts could also come after the recently used per "More..." in an extra dialog. > A screenshot of the Google Docs font selection... This is a solution for bug 35538 "Handling of fonts with more than 4 styles". But makes the idea clear. (In reply to Coburn Ingram from comment #41) > One thing that would really help is linking the default installed fonts to a > user's LOCALE in the operating system. This is bug 148337 being a duplicate of bug 91886 as well as bug 103140 and other. Keeping the list clean is one approach, could be done at the installation or per deinstallation, hiding/filtering items another, but a better organization is needed anyway for people using a lot of different fonts. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
