If you don't know what Bold does you need to learn everything from scratch.

Not sure why we use a short form as label in this case and not something like
Label: Insert Footnote
ContextLabel: Footnote

Basically the idea is to have some meaningful name and something shorter for
the menu Insert > Footnote. This needs to be fixed for each command
individually.

Neither you know from Insert > Footnote and Endnote > Insert Special
Footnote/Endnote... The envisioned explanation aka extended tip for commands
might tell you something like "Shows a dialog to pick a different character for
numbering" but it is a lot of effort and I doubt beginners with no clue about
Bold or Footnotes would customize the UI.
