Subject: RE: Replacing a HDD in Libretto 100CT
Thanks very much for the reply.
What Operating System are you running?
I will be running Windows 98 and am at present on the 2.1Gig drive.
Do you have a desktop PC?
Yes I do. Athlon 800 & Win98se
Do you have a 2.5" to 3.5" drive adapter?
I tried to buy one today (no luck). Thought to install in my desktop,
transfer the complete Win98se folder to the new drive, then boot from floppy
and run setup.
Do you have a PCMCIA CDROM drive?
Yes. I have a Freecom CD/RW. If I could somehow make a boot disk which would
give me access to the Freecom, this would be the answer.
Do you still have the 3.5" PCMCIA Floppy drive?
Yes, the original supplied with Libretto.
Do you have the Toshiba Lib100CT Recovery CD?
No, never did get one. All I have is the stack of floppy disks for Win95
installation. I have copied all these to a CDROM.
Do you have a network card?
Yes, I have a Psion PCMCIA network card - 10base2
and any other information you think may be helpful.
I wonder if it is possible to activate the PCMCIA slots from a boot up
floppy and then access the Freecom CD/RW from the A: DOS prompt?
