Maybe you have the same problem as Anke Otto ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
which has been discussed last week on this list under subject "Libretto
70CT won't recognise Tosh 6.4GB HD".

My guess is that the drives check the IDE/ATAPI "Cable Select" signal
(CSEL on pin 28, which the L50/L70 do not properly provide) to find out
whether they should act as the IDE "master" or "slave" device, and then
use the wrong operation mode. If this is the case, the problem might be
fixed by manually jumpering the drives to "master" (provided that such
a jumper setting exists).

Perhaps Anke can tell us whether she had any success in the meantime.
