www.spartantech.com or WEESCO for the HD (my site for his link).
www.csd.toshiba.com -> accessories for the RAM if you can't find it elsewhere
(eg. www.shopper.com by part #)

Depends on how sensitive you are to slower performance. Some people can
detect a 5% slowdown in performance, others require 50%+ before they'll notice.
Depends on the applications you run as well as CPU intensive programs will
slow down a lot more than simple word processing/email applications (Outlook is
the exception as it oinks huge amounts of RAM).

Read for more information as to Windows 98 is slower than Windows 95 and how
much so:

  http://coverage.cnet.com/Content/Reviews/Compare/Win98/ss08.html

Ignore the NT is more reliable than 95 hype, and look at the actual figures
farther down in this document:
  http://www.microsoft.com/NTWorkstation/overview/Reliability/RelStudy.asp

(eg. How often does your PC stop working?
More than once per month: 28% Windows 95, 13% NT.
And that's only for people crashing two+ times per month; those crashing at
least once per month probably is a lot higher.)

On the other hand, after using 98lite.net nice free eliminate IE program, you
easily gain back the performance loss and suddenly find even 100Mhz Pentium
systems snappy and useable again under Windows 98. Recommended. (replace IE
with Netscape or Opera)

  d =)
