OEM means no drivers, no user manual, etc.

Retail means it is packed just as it would be at, say, a compusa or other
retailer.

Same card, same warranty, less *stuff*.

All drivers should be available over internet, and are probably included in
most OS (these are *very* standard cards).

Wow... I checked that site and sawe these 3COM models:

------------------

3CCFEM556-BOX 3Com 3CCFEM556 10/100 Ethernet + 56k v.90 Modem ,True modem!,
Cellular Rdy, Full retail Boxed Lifetime Warranty from 3Com $89.00

3CCFEM556-OEM 3Com 3CCFEM556 10/100 Ethernet + 56k v.90 Modem ,True modem!,
Cellular Rdy, OEM Card & Cable ONLY $79.00

------------------

Cellular is still something I haven't hopped on yet, but if these will hook
up to a standard cellular connection of some kind, it'd make this model
attractive to me.

Any idea what the difference between OEM and Retail is? Software? I'm
guessing I could get the software from the 3COM site if that's the only
difference... right?

Matt
