at the command prompt of the boot disk and tell us which version of DOS you
are using.
2) how are you fdisking it? You should 1) enable large drive support upon
entering fdisk when it asks you before you can do anything else 2) create a
partition that is the full size of the HD 3) exit, reboot and format to the
full size.
3) detailed notes as to what you're using and doing would be helpful here.
4) if you've got an IBM HD, you can download and use their free Disk Manager
program from www.storage.ibm.com -> support to get the Libretto to see
everything and installed right away.
