The lib 50 needs 14.6 volts approx to run...  your car when running is 
putting out about 14.7 at the cigarette lighter socket.. go to tandy and 
buy a socket that will fit the power on the side of the lib, I think it 
is 3.5 ID 6 OD then wire a cig socket on making sure the positive is 
centre, while the car is running plug the lib in presto... I have been 
doing it with my Lib 50 for years....

goto www.fixup.net and look in the cooltips section.... that will keep 
you busy for a while!
