hi shel

you can do a couple things. one--if verizon didn't
send you a modem gateway instead of a plain modem,
drop them and start checking out other dsl providers.
most dsl providers automagically send gateways now.
two set up your fastests computer as a nat gateway
router. three buy a nat router gateway.
