I am looking for the best way to license an XML schema under Open Source. If I understand correctly, by licensing under GPL, I would forbid the schema to be used by any software that is not licensed under GPL. Therefore a commercial program could not use it.
If I want to develop the schema under Open Source, but allow commercial software to use it I should license it under LGPL. Is this correct? Any other option? -- Dott.
