first try: LICQ <=> LICQ
my licq is v1.2.5 CVS compiled on 22 feb (with some recent patches from icq-devel),
the other one is licq 1.2.4 CVS from 8 feb, unpatched.

send through server is on, because i can't connect directly to him (i'm behind our
university firewall, checkpoint afaik, i have a class A internal IP). he is behind a
DSL router with masquerading, so he's also got an internal IP (192.168.0.4 <= this is
was licq tells me).

1) i want to send a file to him:
he gets a dialog after some while, but nothing happens, no connection is established.
i get the following warnings on my side:

---
Licq Warning:
Unable to reach remote host.
See Network Window for details.

Connecting to remote...Connection error

Licq Warning:
Unable to bind to a port.
See Network Window for details.

bind error.

Licq Warning:
Unable to create a thread.
See Network Window for details.

not enough resources
---

i have attached the debug output which i get from starting licq -d 31.

2) he wants to send a file to me
i get the file-transfer dialog, but it is waiting forever "waiting for connection..."
licq CRASHES on his side! or it hung when he wanted to close the file-transfer window
(this was exactly the same error i mentionend in my previous mail!).
i only have my packet output from this transfer, can't provide his, but i guess it's
the same as under 1)
if it is needed i'll ask him to start licq in debug mode.

----------

second try: LICQ <=> MIRABILIS/AOL ICQ
i can establish a direct connection to her, because she's not behind a firewall or
router. she uses icq 2002a.
1) i send a file to her, it is working! (i guess because direct connection is
established without any probs)

2a) send to her over server:
she was away the first time and i clicked "urgent". here i got a weird debug output
about not being able to send a SMS?? why would licq send a SMS here?
see debug attached output

2b) send to her over server with her being online, everything works fine, handshake is
attached.

3) the opposite does not work (from her to me). i again get the file transfer window
with "waiting for connection", nothing else. she gets "can't establish connection"
error.
she tried it a second time and then her icq would also crash ;)

----------

i still have the complete debug output, if you need something please ask.

*hth*

thx!
