I tried the patch again, and now it works for the message window. But it still doesn't work for the main window (when starting the window isn't sticky). I have to change the sticky option on => off, apply, off => on, apply to make the main window sticky. The timer might work here as well. Besides this, you should really consider refactoring the code and move the common code in the three instances of setFooWinSticky to a single function.
