Ah, the comments instructed me to reference \pad-around in the part of the
definition of \pad-markup that generates the documentation's list of
properties. The idea is that \pad-markup uses exactly the same properties
as \pad-around so they should appear in the docs, but \pad-around uses no
properties at all. Maybe the self-doc system cannot handle the empty list.

(Also, ny `make check` still shows 50% reduction in cell count in about 12
tests, so it is good to know that yours is reasonable.)
