Given that, according to a few users, the word "tuplet" is completly made-up anyway, I don't think that's a big concern. :) On a slightly more serious note, what about using \mult as short for \multiply ? Yes, this is still partly tongue-in-cheek, but it might make everybody happy: no confusion with \time, math purists can rejoin in \mult 2/3, and \mult is even shorter than \times. ... hmm, I admit that it's annoying that your right hand needs to hit the \ and then m keys; \tuplet has the advantage of using the left hand for the t... Any other synonyms of \times come to mind?
