Apparently not. I have no idea on which parameters the scaling is
based; I've just selected a percentage to make the two pages appear
identical in size.

No idea. However, I'm quite sure that printed output (at a not too
small size) is identical due to the much higher DPI values.

I won't publish the source, sorry. However, there is not a single
`special' code in it; it's plain lilypond code, without any nifty
features. Consequently, you can take any lilypond example from the
documentation to do the same experiment.
