- easy branching - I am a heavy user of git rebase - being able to commit, branch, diff etc. without internet connection that way I can work on a train, for example - this makes the commit often & early paradigm easy As I have learned git and svn at the same time, there was no point in really using svn, because I can have the same but much more with git.
