yes, although i was thinking in terms of artwork rather that tools - but
tools may be presented as artwork of course (such as my friend
auto-illustrator[0]).

yes, this is a nice idea.  of course photos may be transformed into audio
in millions of different ways, and vice versa.  we all have different
techniques and media we prefer to work within, and different things we
want to communicate (or not) through our work.  i'd find these different
interpretations fascinating.

we don't have to all be programmers either.  for example, a graphic artist
might want to illustrate a piece of music graphically, using just their
intuition, and so on.  i don't think we need any rules as such.

the idea has undoubtedly been done before, but what would make this
different and interesting (to us at least) is the people involved.
