I would personally prefer using a more “modern” platform such as Google groups, 
Slack, Facebook groups, etc..  

However, one must also recognize that the strength of LincolnTalk - and the 
reason why it has been so successful in our little town - is its simplicity.

Yes, it is frustrating, particularly with the daily “summary” emails, when 
folks reply without editing-out no longer relevant pieces of a message-thread, 
or when someone replies to a thread without checking to see if they’re 
restating something that was already said, but that’s the price we pay for 
having a solution that is usable by nearly everyone without the need for 
dedicated software or more than a bare minimum of computer skills.  Moving to 
any other solution would compromise that, and would likely make LincolnTalk 
inaccessible to a big chunk of the current Lincolntalk community.
