This is why a “community gathering” space is so important in a new Community Center. I was happy to see that in all the options, there is now a space that is labeled “community gathering” because not everyone wants to sign up for an exercise program, learn a new language, or join a specific program. Many people just want to see another human being, especially if they live alone. A space with cozy and comfortable chairs that facilitates this is sorely needed in Lincoln.
