All,
It really doesn’t matter whether the image was AI produced (although it is not).  I originally posted a video of this EXACT bear stealing my bird feeder last week.  The video clearly shows the edge of my house and back yard.

I’m disappointed some feel the need to be suspicious and suggest someone in town would waste their time creating an AI image.  What would be the benefit??

I wondered whether the bear was a hoax when I saw the photo of him/her with the ear tags standing up with the feeder. However, when I looked closely at the photo posted yesterday by pspeert on Fox Run Lane I could see the ear tags, and then I began to feel alas it's not someone's idea of a joke.

Does Lincoln have an animal control dept? I don't see one on the Town website.

I ran the image through isitai.com, and got the result 74.94% likely AI, which it interprets to mean "somewhat likely" to be generated by AI. So not really sure one way or another. If it is AI, I would be shocked that a contributor to this forum would submit a fake image and pass it off as real, so I'm really hoping that's not the case.

I am receiving feedback from people I've shared this with that this photo is an AI fake.  I have no doubt that we have a bear in Lincoln because it ransacked my trash can on Friday evening.  But, wonder if this photo is for real.

Taken yesterday on Grasshopper Lane at about 5:30. Bird feeders are now put away. The bear is tagged and we have notified the wildlife agency in case they are keeping track.

Hello LT,

A fairly large black bear came a’callin’ in my yard at 4:30 am stealing my new bird feeder (see attached video)

We live in the area of Birches School, the Bedford Road / Route 2 intersection (near Tracy’s) and Oak Knoll Rd.

Needless to say my feeders have been removed from the yard…
