Linda - Thank you for sharing the info from the state biologist - interesting
LT - FYI, we had more frequent bear sightings when we lived in Mountain Lakes, NJ, even though that town was more densely settled than Lincoln (mostly quarter-acre lots). My understanding then was that when young bear cubs reached a certain age, they were forced to leave their place or origin and look for new territory, and thus tended to flow outwards from less developed areas in the county (and perhaps beyond). I saw one on the street in front of our house once or twice. Folks we know who still live there just sent us a video of several bears wandering near their driveway, seen as our friends drove back in. I've linked that 33-second video here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16eufOrXWd1uobyhUilG8dFE2eMaubOb-/view?usp=sharing - Paul Shorb On Tue, May 14, 2024 at 5:57 PM Linda McMillan <mcmillanlin...@gmail.com> wrote: > The Massachusetts bear biologist I spoke to said there are many bears in > much more developed areas than Lincoln.
