Hello Kerry & others Thank you your email(s)
I downloaded the demo version of DirectMedia 1) it works great on most of my computers but I have a PIII 300, 98 computer, media player 7.0 that I use to test projects I get a "DirectMedia unknown error" after the Mpeg start to play and/or it plays very poorly with a low frame rate. I need a higher version of MediaPlayer? Does Mpeg-1 require a lot more CPU than a sorenson Quicktime? Any Thoughts? Tabuleiro's DirectMedia Xtra will do nicely. It's only Windows, but QuickTime is standard on Macs. You'll have to do a little juggling if it's cross-platform (i.e., play the QT on the Mac, the DirectMedia on Win), but that's not hard. http://xtras.tabuleiro.com/products/direct/index.tdb Cordially, Kerry Thompson Life is complex. It has real parts and imaginary parts.
