Thanks for all your replies. For the alert-example I could use the alertHook for the effect I want, but I was just wondering if there was any method that would work in general. I guess there is none for moviescripts, but I have to use parent-scripts.
Colin: I couldn't get your solution to work, "pass" didn't work with "alert" (nor with "put") (dir mx, win xp pro).
