Two things: -To catch key-events, the stage must be the window in focus. This is easy to overlook in the authoring environment. -The number of keys detectable simultaneously, is dependant on the specific hardware. It can vary from one keyboard to another. The modifier keys all work simultaneously, so maybe you should go there for 4 simultaneous key-presses.
